Lock Arms With Us!

Vancouver Supporters, please consider locking arms with those of us on the frontlines by showing up in person when Marine Harvest tries to get an injunction against us. They want to remove us from the farms so that they can put more Atlantic salmon into Musgamagw Territory:

DATE: Tuesday, Nov 14
9:15 rally begins
9:45am schedule proceeding
10:45 rally continues
PLACE: The Law Courts, 800 Smithe St. Vancouver

The public is welcome to respectfully enter the courtroom to witness the proceedings. Show up early.

This is very important and we really need your help! If successful Marine Harvest can start asking for people to get arrested for defending their Aboriginal rights and title and the keystone species of this coast.

Salmon Peoples Solidarity

Calling all Salmon People!

We are inviting leaders from all river and coastal salmon nations to stand with us to demand the provincial government cancel all fish farm permits and halt aquaculture (open-net fish farms) operations in the unceded territories of the Mamalilikala, Namgis, and Musgamagw Dzawada'enuxw. We invite all salmon people to join us at Swanson Island Occupation for food, song, dance and speeches to stand strong as one, to remove fish farms out of the Broughton Archipelago.

If you plan on attending please note: There are limited boats, and organizers, so it is best if you are able to organize your own transportation. Some local boats will be heading to the Swanson Island and we will try our best to accommodate you. Guests are welcome to stay overnight (or longer) with the occupiers. If you plan on staying, please bring proper provisions including, water and food.

If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to gather and rally in your own communities and let your voices be heard. Take a photo and send us your support via Facebook. We can do this!

Please contact the Swanson Occupation on Facebook for arrangements and other information.

Gilakas'la - Thank you!
